March 4th, from 1-6pm at the NET VILLAGE TRAINING COMPLEX
Cascadia Moulage is recruiting!
Cascadia Moulage provides support for emergency response training by creating realistic injury simulations-the more realism we can create, the more effective the training. We’ve provided moulage for everything from Portland Police ‘active shooter’ exercises, to CERT/NET trainings, to high school ‘drunk driving’ scenario creations.
We are recruiting for new moulage artists, offering a workshop training on Saturday, January 21st from 1-6pm
-are interested in providing support for emergency training
-don’t mind getting a little messy
-have an artistic/creative bent
-are reliably able to be there early in the morning to start the makeup set (7:30-8am) mostly on Saturday mornings (a few weekday/Sunday shifts are available)
-and can commit to providing moulage at least six times in the coming year….
Our new artists are trained using professional grade theatrical makeup, with ongoing ‘hands on’ mentoring through their first year. Once you’ve received initial training, you’ll be put on our moulage artist’s mailing list and notified of upcoming moulage opportunities that you can sign up for. There are usually 2-3 events available per month.
When: Saturday, January 21st 1pm-6pm
Where: AMR, 1 SE 2nd Ave, Portland, OR 97214
What to wear: clothes you don’t mind getting stained!
Space is limited, and acceptance is based on a recommendation from your Emergency Response Coordinator.
If you’d like to apply, email to: Cascadia.firstname.lastname@example.org the following:
The person who is providing your recommendation
We’ll let you know by January 16th if you’ve been accepted into our training program. There is a $15 registration fee payable at the workshop.
